Particle Simulator

My friend was playing an app, with this pretty cool effect: The background of the game was a grid, and every time you killed an enemy, it exploded and moved the background. I thought I would try and re-create it in flash, and while doing that I accidentally made this thingy which is kinda a particle simulator but also sorta works with explosions.

Controls:
Space switches the explosion type.
A automatically generates the explosions every few frames.

I was experimenting with different ways of moving the particles, some work best for single clicks and other look better when you drag the mouse around.
